Inside of the broad District 17 Harescramble series, there is a sub-series at Fox Valley Off-Road. Their series consists of the 5 Harescramble events they hold at their facility. I was able to make it to 4 of these 5. My results were as such:
5/6/2012 – 6th\7
I DNF’d the race on my XR350R. I rode poorly in the sloppy conditions, and was clearly not in race shape. It was what it was.
7/22/2012 – 13th/15
I was in 4th catching up to 3rd at the time my Husky decided to snap it’s throttle cable. I was really questioning not only my ability, but my decision to buy a Husqvarna WR250 2-stroke dirtbike.
8/19/2012 – 5th/11
This was the 2nd race this year that I didn’t have any malfunctions on my Husky. I knew the bike had to go, it just wasn’t the right time yet. Decent enough race, but I knew I should be doing better.
9/16/2012 2nd/7
Finally a decent finish. Go figure that I was on the 1985 XR350R. Woulda preferred 1st place finish, but it’s a step in the right direction. This upcoming year, the attack is on.
